Date validation for DFF field - Not to allow future date

Hi ,

We created a DFF for capturing expense report date. Now we want to enable a validation for this field to not allow selection of future date(> sys date). We did try using the table format and used the table FND_CAL_DAY and validation is fine but it is showing in LOV format.
