AR Standard Receipt applied to random invoice through lockbox

Summary:

We are creating AR Standard Receipt via FBDI process using Lockbox. Even though when we are not passing any invoice number in the FBDI file, the receipt is applied to random invoice in the system. Please help us understand if this is a setup issue and how this can be fixed ?
