Can we feed performance ratings from a talent review into a performance document?

Our business has a requirement to moderate employee performance ratings before the performance conversations have taken place. Ideally we'd like managers to submit the initial rating somewhere in the system, and for that rating to then be visible in the performance document, ready for the evaluation process.

I saw an example where someone was using talent review meetings as a way to manage the moderation process. This would provide an easy way for managers to enter the rating, and the dashboard gives a nice visual for leaders when they hold the moderation meeting. However, I'm not sure how we'd then get the system to pull the agreed rating into the performance document?
