How to get total duration in Global Absence Type Duration

When we are applying absence from 20th Oct to 29th oct we have one friday which can be removed , but we also need to remove 3 other days from the same loop. The question is when we are using the "Global Absence Type Duration" the IV_START_DATE(DATE),IV_END_DATE(DATE) are working only for single day. The requirement is how to i loop from IV_START_DATE = 20-Oct-2024 to IV_END_DATE = 29-Oct-2024 ? Is there any other DBI to refer in the formula?
