How to configure so Employees can withdraw scheduled absences without needing a manager's approval

We would like to configure one of our absence types so employees can withdraw a scheduled absence without needing a manager's approval.

Is this possible?

Ideally, instead of receiving an approval request, the manager should just receive a FYI notification. When the leave is withdrawn (or deleted by the employee), the system will proceed without needing a manager's approval.
