Can we auto close a task in a Performance document if the same is not been accessed by employee

Is there a feature that can automatically close a task in a Performance Document if it remains unassessed by the employee or manager for a specified period? Additionally, we are looking to set a deadline for the task that would notify the respective employee or manager.

Furthermore, is it possible to configure the system so that if the task is not completed within the deadline, it automatically progresses to the next task or document?
