My Time Calculation rules work/don't work depending on my compensatory absence plan expiration rules

Summary:

We have built Time Calculation rules for a number of our customers and we don't have issues with converting Overtime to a hours in a Compensatory Leave Plan, until now. For previous countries there either was no expiration, or they are manually handling the expirations (through balance adjustments) when they are needed.

We have a new use case where the customer has multiple compensatory plans, as a tiered approach for employee use.

  1. A plan that converts Overtime hours worked to Compensatory leave hours at a 1:1 ratio, and expires in 7 days from earning. This works perfectly.
  2. A plan that converts Overtime hours worked into Compensatory leave hours at various ratios (1:1.5 ; 1:2 ; 1:2) depending on the local laws/times/conditions. This expires at the end of the pay period (monthly).
