Workforce Scheduling Question: Workload Demand

When uploading workforce demand, if there is a requirement for an 8-5 shift, and there is someone with 8-3 availability, will a 3-5 shift be created and the 8-3 filled? If so, will that still occur if the 3-5 shift is not defined in shifts and/or the schedule generation profile?
