Inquiry on Reversing Discrete Manufacturing Process for Bundled Items

Requesting your insights on this matter.I have a question regarding our manufacturing process. Typically, a work order is used to combine several components into a finished product. We would like to know if it is possible to reverse this process—issuing a finished product and then receiving its individual components back into inventory, with the cost of each component maintained.

For example, our telecommunications client sells a router package during seasonal promotions. This package includes:

  • Router Device: Rs. 1500.00
  • Antenna: Rs. 200.00
  • Cables: Rs. 300.00
  • Router Package: Rs. 2200.00

The individual components are stored and managed separately. During the season, they are bundled into one package. After the season ends, the bundle needs to be disassembled so the individual parts can be sold separately.

Howdy, Stranger!
