The plan is using a yearly repeating period. For example, an employee hired in 2024 (the previous period) whose probation ends in the next period (starting 1-1-25) has vested accruals for their probation period. What we want the system to do is to calculate their accruals for the probation period for the period they were hired in (e.g if they were hired on 1-10-24, they should have three months worth of accrual) carrying over to the next period to be usable after probation ends.
