Unable to make the performance rating made visible to employees.

There is a requirement that the performance document rating is to be made visible for the employees. However, I am unable to share the employees rating through Admin via 'process mass action of performance document process'. The performance document is chosen to 'complete performance document' from the admin page. However, the rating is not visible for the employees.

I have changed the 'share rating' and 'share comments 'option for the manager role in the performance template to YES after sharing the performance document to employee. Earlier the value was set to 'no'.

Also, the performance template page is in redwood.
