24D: absence type config to auto-reject or auto-approve?

Summary:

In 24D Oracle released a config flag that allows the system to automatically reject absence requests or to automatically approve them after X days (https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/readiness/hcm/24d/amg-24d/24D-absence-mgmt-wn-f35078.htm). Our system default is 90 days for the BPM. I'm looking for understanding of expected behaviors in the following two scenarios:

  1. If I submitted an absence request on Jan 1 for an absence beginning on Feb 1, then is the system going to reference the absence start date or the absence entry date to determine the auto-handling? Will the absence request be auto-rejected/approved on April 1 (90 days after entry) or on May 1 (90 days after start date)? Or is there some combination of the two? The documentation leads me to think it is from the submission date, but I'm unclear.

Howdy, Stranger!
