How to Create a New Participant Type?

We have a specific need to create a new Participant Type within the system.

During our analysis, we checked the lookup HRA_ROLE_TYPE; however, we noticed that this lookup is not enabled for adding new values, and it seems to be restricted.

Could you please clarify:

• Is there any supported way to create new Participant Types?
• If not, is there any alternative solution or workaround available to manage this requirement?
