Sharing Knowledge Article Email Link not Working

Trying to share a suggested Knowledge Article to the Primary Contact of a Help Desk ticket but the link to the article is not working.

If I access the Knowledge Article and select "Share to Help Desk Request" it starts a message with a link to the article. I then set the message to Email and preview, and the link is listed, however when I recieve the email in my inbox, it lists the title but the article link is missing.
If I then access the ticket as an employee, I can click on the link in the message and access the article.
