Can we fill check in document without scheduling it as a Line Manager?

Dear Team,

I am currently working with check in templates, I to know whether we they can fill check templates as a line manager without clicking the Schedule process?

After Login as a Line Manager> My Team> Performance Overview> Check in Templates> ADD> Select Review Period> Select Template> Select Date> Click on Schedule

After scheduling on front view a check in template is opened and after that user again have to go to check in template and now the template questionnaire filling option is enable as before clicking on schedule it was not possible.

I want to know whether it is a standard Oracle Workflow or there is any option to minimize this flow?
