Processing Emails from Customers

I am looking for ideas on how other customers handle email communications from their customers after implementing Oracle Fusion.

Do they work out of dedicated inboxes?
Are there options to ingest emails in Oracle and process them from there?
Example use case:
- Customer sends a payment remittance PDF attached to an email. This remittance is received a couple days before the payment is received.
- Customer sends an email requesting a copy of a credit memo or updated statement of account.
How do other customers handle these types of interactions from customers?
