Recursive BOM used in a reprocessing flow

Summary:

We are implementing a manufacturing scenario in Oracle Fusion Cloud MFG (25C) and require guidance on how to model a reprocessing flow where the same item is reused in its own production cycle.

Business Case:
The product is an alfalfa bale. In some cases, a bale that has not been sold must be reprocessed (e.g. reconditioned, rewrapped, or blended with other material) and issued again as a new bale.

Technically, this means that:

  • The starting material is a previously manufactured alfalfa bale (unsold),
  • A new production order is issued to reprocess it,
  • The output of the work order is again

Howdy, Stranger!
