Can we send an email notification on Creating an Appointment in OFS during Launch condition?

Summary:

Can we send an email notification on Creating an Appointment in OFS during Launch condition? We would like to send an email on submission of an Appointment. Though the emails are sent during the Activity move, the email is not sent during New Appointment Submission.
We tried doing in Add Launch condition, but seeing the same scenario of emails not getting triggered.
Is there any way we could achieve this requirement of sending emails on new Appointment (or on updating the Activity) submission?
