How can we ensure full accrual even if employee is terminated before end of repeating period?

I have an absence plan which accrues at the start of the biweekly repeating period. If an employee is terminated prior to end of the repeating period, the last accrual is rolled back. The client needs full accrual for the employee even though he spends one day in the repeating period.
For eg -
Plan accrues on - 07/06/2025 and 07/20/2025
Latest accrual period - 07/20/2025 to 08/02/2025
Employee terminated on 07/31/2025
When employee is terminated on 07/31/2025, the accrual on 08/02/2025 is rolled back.
How can we achieve this?
