AI Agent - Issues with Backend Updates and Prompt Execution

I am currently building a Sales User Deactivation Agent using Oracle AI Agent Studio. The agent is designed to accept a user’s email or username, retrieve their details using a tool function, and seek confirmation before initiating the deactivation process.

However, I am encountering the following issues:

  1. Despite receiving a success message (“The user has been deactivated successfully”), the user remains active in Oracle Sales Cloud — indicating the backend operation is not actually being performed.
  2. In some cases, the agent continues to return the same user details even after confirmation to proceed with deactivation.
  3. Although the prompt instructs the agent to initiate the conversation, it does not do so.
