Loaded performance ratings aren't appearing in compensation plan

Summary:

We are testing loading performance section ratings into a performance document, and are running into some issues. After loading, the "performance management overall rating" field in the compensation plan is blank for the users who we loaded ratings for. However, the users who had ratings entered manually did have a value in this field of the compensation plan. The overall rating does appear in the performance UI for the users we loaded ratings for and the ones who had ratings manually entered. For what it's worth, we are using 2 different fast formulas in the templates to calculate the
