Credit Limit is not checking the Payment Terms due for Credit Check

Summary:

At the time of payment term set up, credit check is enabled. However when the order is getting created for a customer which has credit limit, and still has overdue invoices based on payment term set up, credit check hold is not getting triggered. Does payment term enablement for credit check does not validate for overdue invoices.
