Unable to turn on the Use HCM Position Hierarchy for Position Hierarchy Configuration.

Summary:

Hi All,

We are trying to turn on the Position synchronization for our intance. However we cannot turn on the Use HCM Position Hierarchy checkbox for Position Hierarchy Configuration under Manage Enterprise HCM Information.

We want to turn it on and enable the Manager as Use HCM position hierarchy under Position Synchronization Configuration.

The error we are getting is

Cannot invoke "String.equals(Object)" because "posHierFlag" is null

I referred to HCM position hierarchy because this hierarchy type isn't enabled — Cloud Customer Connect

Has anyone encountered any similar issue ?
