How do we limit absence requests to be consecutive days only?

Summary:

We recently discovered employees can change their absence requests to where they are not consecutive days. We'd like to know how to prevent this option.

Employees are able to edit their absence requests and remove middle days in the plan and create a request that spans a month but only uses 40 hours. This causes many problems with scheduling and absence planning.
