Whats the difference between batch quantity and output quantity in a WO in process manufacturing?

Summary:

Hi,

I was going through Oracle Documentation and am unable to understand the difference between batch quantity of a work order and output quantity of a work order?

I have a business case where I'm analyzing the previous implemented solution. The batch quantity and the output quantity of the product yielded are different. Could anyone let me know why this is the case.

Also the conversion defined in system is 1250 litres = 1 METRIC TONNES so it should be 100 METRIC TONES, however, its 80 METRIC Tonnes as shown in the screenshot below.

Additionally, I went through Oracle documentation, which says that Batch Quantity and Output Quantity are different. I would like to know the definition of these both and would like to know in what cases are the batch quantity and primary output quantity are different.

Howdy, Stranger!
