What causes duplicate talent profiles to be created for an employee?

Hi All,

We have noticed that sometime for certain employee records duplicate talent profiles are getting created. Why does this happen? How can this be avoided?


We have noticed that these users do not have access to opportunity marketplace, learning items and know your role page in career development. The issue gets resolved after deleting the duplicate profile via HDL. But I wanted to understand why this was happening and how it can be avoided.
