How to restrict contact search visibility for respective contact owners.

Hi All,
We have a requirement in CX and need some guidance
In CX, all contacts are currently visible to all users by default, and this has been the behavior from the beginning. Our Sales team has requested to restrict visibility so that only the contact owner can view their contacts.
For example: if Susan is the contact owner, only Susan should be able to see that contact. Even if another user searches by the same contact name, it should not appear unless they are the owner.
Has anyone implemented this before? Is it possible to achieve, and are there any potential impacts or dependencies?
