Extension including dynamic transit time

Is it possible to write an OM extension for transfer orders coming into OM so that:

SAD (Schedule Arrival Date) = Request Date

SSD (Schedule Ship Date) =   SAD - Transit time.

I have a question on the dynamic transit time - is that possible?
