Option to Save Quality Inspection Results during WIP Inline Inspections

We have a business requirement where the quality tests run across shifts/days due to higher lead times of physical inspections involved.

So if there are multiple quality inspection characteristics to be inspected at a given work order operation, during WIP inline inspections and each runs across shifts, user needs ability to enter the results and save them until all the quality inspections performed against those characteristics sequentially.

Is there any way we can achieve this, as there is no save option during WIP inline inspections
