Talent review meeting template - unable to submit with only one box rating XY view

Summary:

We have a requirement where we only need to configure one Box Chart view - of type XY view. However, the system does not allow me to do so forcing me to create a view with 1 single rating as well which is not required for my customer. P

I tested with creating a template with only one Box Chart view of type 'Single Rating view' and that worked; here i did not receive an error to create a XY view as well.

Please advise why this is so ? If its working as designed, it is not correct - why can customers not have just one view when tehy use the XY type, but are allowed one view with type 'Single Rating view' ? Or, what am i missing in my config? Screenshot below for reference.
