Duplicate Resolution

Summary:
Hi, We are implementing Duplicate Resolution and see some gaps in the process.
- There is no standard out of box notifications available to let the Data Steward know that a rep has submitted a Merge Request. How can we workaround this. Can we custom create email notifications for Merge Requests / Duplicate Resolution Requests.
- The tables storing the Duplicate Requests are not exposed for us to create reports. Business wants to know how many Merge requests are submitted and processed in a month.
If anybody has implemented Duplicate Resolution, can you help provide some insights.
