How to reactivate account after return from leave of absence

We want to reactivate employee account automatically after return from leave of absence.

We are using Core but not LOA module for some entities. There we have regular cases of employees leaving for a certain period of time for parental leave (assignment status suspended) and their accounts get locked automatically.
But when performing the return of leave of absence action (assignment status active) their accounts still stay inactive, as long as nobody enters the security console and manually re-activates the account.
Is there no other (default) way? Thanks in advance!
