Amount as editable field in the salary section during Hire

Summary:

Hi Everybody,

During the hire process when we reach the salary section, we enter the salary basis. We use simple component as salary basis. There are 2 components. Fixed and Variable.

In Order to enter the Fixed CTC which is a user enterable field we have to click Pencil Icon and enter the Amount in the Amount Field.

After clicking the Pencil Icon, application highlights the "Annual amount" Field instead of "Amount" field.

Client is getting confused. How to make the "Amount" field as Highlighted one instead of "Annual amount" ?
