Enforcing Payroll approval before Project time transfer

Hi Community,

I’m running into a challenge with our timecard setup and wondering if anyone has found a workaround.

  • We have both Projects and Payroll as time consumers.
  • Projects approval is currently set to auto-approve.
  • Payroll approval requires line manager approval (to avoid duplicate approval requests for managers).
  • In the time consumer set, I configured Payroll approval as required.

Expectation:
Project time would not be transferred to Projects until Payroll approval was completed.

Observed behavior:

  • Project time is auto-approved and available for import into Projects immediately, even if Payroll approval has not been completed.
