Interim coverage not updated to max amount on changing coverages

Hi ,

We have a requirement in which employee has selected an existing coverage of 200000 .During open enrollment ,the employee makes update to 300000 .The system should default to 250000 as interim coverage and make 300000 until EOI is approved.

However,its not giving any interim coverage currently for 250000.There is an option of making interim to previous coverage(200000) but customer doesnt want that.Please Suggest what can be done.
