Need Ability to Define Absence Approval Based on Worker’s Assignment DFF

Hi Everyone,

We have a customer requirement where absence approvals need to be routed dynamically based on values captured in the worker’s Assignment Descriptive Flexfield (DFF).

However, while configuring the Approval Rule in BPM for Absence Management, I noticed that Assignment DFF attributes are not available as selectable fields or variables in the list of conditions.

We explored the following options:

• Checked the Human Task configuration (AbsenceApproval).
• Verified Payload attributes for available data elements.
• Attempted to expose Assignment DFF through additional payload mappings.

Unfortunately, none of these allow direct use of Assignment DFF values in approval conditions.

Please confirm if anyone has found a workaround to achieve this or if Oracle can consider
