Redwood absence zeroing out after reaching max

After transiting to Redwood, now when employees reach the ceiling or max, the absence balance zeros out. The employee is still able to enter an absence since those hours since exist, however from the employee perspective the balance is zero yet from the HR admin view, we are able to see all the hours available.

Why is this occurring now?
