Interest is getting calculated for late charge invoice

Summary:

HI Team, We have the following setup at the customer account level, I ran late charges for an over due invoice where interest invoice is generated. When I run late charges the next day, I see that for the interest invoice it has calculated late charges. May I know why late charge is calculated on interest invoice and how can it be prevented?

We need Fusion to calculate late charges only for the overdue invoices and not on interest invoice.
