Internal Resource Organization and Organization Unit

Summary:

I created a new Internal Resource Organization, "Organization X," assigned to a user with the role ORA_OFS_FIELD_SERVICE_MANAGER_JOB, and expected to find a new Organizational Unit, also named "Organization X," in FFS. This didn't happen. I'm in contact with technical support, but they haven't given me an answer yet.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Since it's still possible to manually create a new Organizational Unit in FFS, could someone explain why it must be created as an Internal Resource Organization?

What is the relationship between these two structures?
