Question on debugging Benefits Fast formula

(I have seen a few posts on this and tried options listed there, this question is specific to a FF type)

I am receiving the following error during open enrollment when a user tries to change coverage option for Voluntary EE life plan. There is an interim formula of type "Default to Assign Pending Action" defined to place the enrollment in the interim option however instead, receiving the following error "The interim formularequires revision because the interim coverage can't be rendered. The formula returns a coverage amount that's greater than the elected amount. This error occurred in the package ben_sspndd_enrollment.validate_interim_rule" - I am looking to place debug statements (ESS_LOG_WRITE and rlog) in the formula but unable to see them anywhere.
