Is it possible to hide a Category from the UI but still allow backend updates
Summary:
We have a requirement where a specific Service Request Category should not be visible to end users in the UI (both Create and Edit pages), but it must still remain available for backend processing — for example, updates triggered through Smart Actions, Groovy, or Integrations.
Is there any supported way to hide a Category from the UI while keeping it active for system-driven updates?
If yes, what is the recommended configuration approach (e.g., role-based visibility, sandbox personalization, page composer, etc.)?
