DFF not reflected in Career Preferences content section in Talent Profile

We are building the Career Preferences content section in Talent Profile and we have set up some standard fields and DFFs. However, upon checking the content section - the DFFs are not shown at all. I have double checked the configuration in Manage Descriptive Flexfields page and the Enabled checkbox is ticked, it is deployed successfully, and these DFFs are listed in the Content Section Properties page.

What could be the reason these flexfields are not reflected in the UI?
