Job Function Lookup Unique Constraints

Is there a way to bypass the unique constraint on Meaning for the JOB_FUNCTION_CODE lookup? We're going to be end dating old job function codes and creating new ones (new naming standard for our Lookup Code), but some of the Meanings will be the same. Ideally, the unique constraints would take the Start Date and End Dates into consideration.

Example of what we want to do:

Lookup Code = 1000, End Date = 02-Dec-2025, Meaning = Actuarial
Lookup Code = AA, Start Date = 02-Dec-2025, Meaning = Actuarial
