Absence Duration to exclude 1st weekend but include remaining weekends

We have an Absence Type in Oracle HCM where the Duration Fast Formula must calculate the number of leave days based on customized weekend-handling rules.

However, the system is not applying the required logic correctly.
The duration being returned by the Absence Type is incorrect in most scenarios.

✔ Required Duration Rules (Business Requirement)

The absence duration must follow three specific rules:

1️⃣ Rule 1 – Leave starts on Wednesday or Thursday AND ends on next Thursday

First weekend after start date = ❌ Excluded

Next weekend = ✔ Included

Example

Start: 03-Dec-2025 (Wed)
End: 11-Dec-2025 (Thu)

Dates Expected
06–07 Dec ❌ exclude
13–14 Dec ✔ include

Expected Duration = 9 days
