SO lines Backordered status, the system does not allow updates to the SSD or the Ship-to Address

From a functional perspective, when a Sales Order line is in Backordered status, the application restricts updates to key fulfillment attributes such as the Scheduled Ship Date (SSD) and Ship-to Address. How can this business requirement be handled in Oracle Fusion Order Management?

Is there any supported functional workaround to update the SSD or Ship-to Address for a SO backordered order line?

Note - GOP is not in scope (We have not implemented GOP we are manually overriding SSD)
