Is it possible to create a zero hour work pattern with new work scheduling?

Summary:

In old work schedule functionality you are able to create a zero hour shift (period type Off Period) and use that in a zero hour work pattern to create a zero hour work schedule. This was to override the legal entity default work pattern that was assigned to everyone. This is used for zero hours workers in OTL and absence.

We are trying to replicate a similar solution with work scheduling but a work pattern has to have a minimum of one working shift with a duration.

Has anyone come up with what to do with work schedules for zero hour staff?
