How do I import group attribute values into transaction matching screen

I have created a group attribute table and can see the "new" attributes in the transaction matching screen. However, I cannot get the values to populate when importing data. For instance, my key in the group attribute corresponds with the data in description field 2, I would like the other fields from the group attribute table to come in with the data based on that 1-1 match with the key. How do I reference this field to compare these values and then populate when applicable so that this information available for setting up match rules.
