Processing high-volume serial numbers in Rework Work Orders using FBDI

Summary:

Rework Work Orders require processing a large volume of serial numbers that already exist in Inventory.
When trying to associate such serial numbers to a Rework Work Order using Import Work Orders (FBDI), the process fails because the serial numbers are in status “Resides in Stores”.

Error message: 'Serial number **** to be associated to the work order is not at status Defined but not Used in inventory'.

Looking for community experience or best practices on how this scenario is handled in real projects.
