However, the user realizes they need to make a correction on the hire date with this new hired employee, so they perform a correction on the employee record changing those dates. I'm imagining these transactions would happen in a matter of seconds or within the minute.

When this situation happens, we are not getting a new hire life event triggering on the employee.
