Item Keywords for sales order creation via FBDI and REST API

Summary:

We can setup cross-reference types and define cross-references (aka alias) to item defined in PIM. Then using Manage Item Keyword Search Attributes, we can include cross-references to be part of keyword search.

Once setup, OM UI screen (non-Redwood), one can specify cross-reference value in the search box, tab out and associated item from PIM is identified and populated. The cross-reference value does not have a placeholder on the order/fulfillment line though - unlike Customer Item Number (introduced some time ago).

The same search by cross-reference keyword works in Purchasing and Inventory (again non-Redwood).

Like manual sales order entry recognizes cross-reference keyword, is it possible to create/import sales orders by providing cross-reference/alias/keywords using FBDI and/or REST API?
